Georgetown men’s basketball coach and former New York Knicks star Patrick Ewing revealed on Friday evening he has tested positive for coronavirus.
Ewing, 57, said in a statement,
“I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly…I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”
According to the university Ewing under care and isolated at a local hospital. No other member of the Georgetown basketball team has tested positive for the virus.
Thoughts go out to Ewing and his family.
